Venue

Trinity College, Oxford

Trinity is a stunning seventeenth century college located in the heart of Oxford.  The college was founded in 1555 on the site of Durham Cathedral's college for Benedictine monks.  The Old Library, completed in 1421, is all that remains of the original buildings.  Trinity added quadrangles, the hall, and the chapel in the later seventeenth century with the help of Christopher Wren.  As the university expanded in the nineteenth and early twentieth century, the college added the front quad and several (slightly unfortunate concrete) buildings in the back.

The college completed the neoclassical chapel, where we'll have the ceremony, in 1694.  It was built on the site of the original Durham College chapel, and has been a place of worship for over 600 years.

The hall, where we'll have the wedding breakfast (dinner), is filled with portraits of former members and well known for its trompe l'oeil ceiling.

Trinity is perhaps most famous as a garden college, with large lawns and several gardens.  We look forward to hosting drinks, games, and dancing on the back lawns.

We're very excited to have Trinity as our wedding venue, and we look forward to showing you one of Oxford's prettiest colleges.
